Core Capabilities
AppX converts natural language prompts into complete, runnable React Native projects built with Expo SDK 54. Every generated app works on both iPhone and Android devices, and can be previewed directly using the free Expo Go mobile app. Users can modify existing apps by sending simple chat messages to request new features, updated styling, or additional screens.
All users get full access to download their entire project as a ZIP file, including complete standard Expo project structure with components, design system files, hooks, and a valid package.json. Paid plans unlock AppX Backend, a dedicated database for each generated app. The platform interface supports English, Russian, and Uzbek languages.
Workflow
The app building process follows four clear steps:
Describe your app: Write a plain text description that explains the purpose of your app, required screens, features, and preferred visual style.
Test on device: View the web preview of the generated app, then scan a QR code to open it directly on your own phone using Expo Go.
Iterate with chat: Send text prompts to request changes such as resizing buttons, adding new screens, adjusting colors, or inserting new functionality. Each change consumes a small number of credits.
Export your code: Download the full React Native project ZIP at any time to edit or extend it in any local code editor.
Sample Built Apps
The platform includes public previews of fully working demo apps built from real prompts:
Reps: 5-screen workout log with exercise tracking, history view, and weight chart. Uses 30 credits.
Streaks: 5-screen habit tracker with checkmarks, streak counter, 30-day history grid. Built in 8 minutes 14 seconds, uses 29 credits.
Crumbs: 5-screen recipe box with recipe management, favorites, and shared shopping list. Uses 29 credits.
Pocket Semester: 3-screen student expense tracker with monthly summary and category breakdowns. Built in 9 minutes 22 seconds, uses 21 credits.
SipDay: 2-screen water tracker with one-tap logging and daily progress ring. Uses 16 credits.
Tomato: 1-screen Pomodoro focus timer with 25-minute work sessions and 5-minute break intervals. Uses 11 credits.
Pricing and Credits
All plans include access to the same underlying AI models and full code download access.
Free plan: $0 per month, 100 free credits per month. Requires email verification, includes Expo Go phone previews and full code ZIP downloads.
Starter plan: $20 per month or $216 per year, 300 credits per month, adds AppX Backend database access.
Premium plan: $50 per month or $540 per year, 800 credits per month, all Starter features included.
Pro plan: $100 per month or $1080 per year, 1700 credits per month, adds priority for App Store and Google Play publishing requests.
Extra credits for paid plans cost $5 for 60 credits. A typical 5-screen application uses around 25-30 credits, while smaller 1 or 2-screen apps use 11 to 16 credits. If a build fails, the user is not charged credits for that attempt.
App Store Publishing
Users can request help from the AppX team to submit their final app to Apple App Store and Google Play. The team will review your app first and send you a written fixed price before you agree to pay. The service includes app signing, store listing preparation, and submission to the platform review process. Users still need their own active Apple Developer ($99/year) and Google Play Developer ($25 one-time) accounts. Apple and Google run the final review and make the final approval decision.
Current Limitations
The platform does not yet support automatic one-click App Store publishing. All apps run inside Expo Go before formal store submission, and AppX Backend databases cannot be self-hosted on external servers at this time. All backend data for apps using that feature is stored on AppX servers, and users will need to migrate that data separately if they export their full project code.
